1. Choose your area

Open Nearby → Set up discovery. Enter a neighborhood and city. Matching by manual area uses the same neighborhood label, so use a clear and consistent name. GPS is optional.

2. Make a deliberate visibility choice

Opt into discovery for 30 days. The app rounds any requested coordinates before sending them; other owners see only an approximate band. Disabling discovery clears the stored coarse location in this beta.

3. Select public pets

Open My pets, edit the relevant profile, and enable the public discovery option. Only the limited social profile is used. Health records, restrictions and emergency contacts do not become public just because you opt in.

4. Send a request

Browse participating owners and select Say hello. The recipient must accept before private messaging opens. A pending request is not an accepted friendship. In the demo, the people and messages are fictional.

5. Keep the pace comfortable

Discuss suitability before organizing a meeting. Use the profile menu to report or block an account when necessary. Cat-owner connections are for people; they are not an invitation to introduce unfamiliar cats. Review your discovery preferences when the 30-day period ends.

Put a little care into practice.
