1. Add a dated record

Open Health records → Add a record. Select the pet, record type, title and actual date. Add a next due date only when supported by the existing record or clinician instruction. Leave unknown dates blank.

2. Attach a document

After saving, select Attach document. The server-backed app accepts PDF, JPEG and PNG files up to 5 MB, with a 25 MB beta allowance per owner. The standalone preview does not upload private files. Keep the original clinical documents separately.

3. Choose the correct sharing purpose

A digital ID has minimal public information and a contact form. A sitter handover deliberately includes care instructions, routines, veterinarian and emergency contact. These are different links. Do not use a handover link as though it were a minimal public tag.

4. Check the page before sharing

Choose an expiration of 1–90 days, create the link and open its preview. The link is readable without the recipient signing in. Anyone holding it can see the included information until it expires or is revoked.

5. Close the loop

After the handover, revoke the link from Care circle. For a clinic visit, use Visit summary to review and print a separate owner-entered brief. Neither the QR page nor the summary is an official travel passport or replacement for the clinic’s record.

Put a little care into practice.

Start with your pet’s profile and a routine you have reviewed.
