1. Choose the right pet and date
Open Today → Log a check-in, or use the button on a pet profile. Select the pet and the date you actually observed them. Future observations cannot be saved as though they happened already.
2. Describe the comparison
For appetite, activity, toileting and mobility, choose usual, different from usual or not sure. These are owner descriptions, not diagnostic categories. Do not force an uncertain observation into a confident answer just to finish the form.
3. Add context
Use the note for what you saw, when it began and what changed. Enter weight only if it was measured. The form intentionally avoids generating an emotional percentage or a diagnosis from these inputs.
4. Keep concerns visible
Recent reported changes appear separately from care consistency. A household can complete every task and still need professional advice. The app should not congratulate a concern away. For urgent or concerning changes, contact a veterinarian rather than waiting for a score to change.
5. Review before a visit
Open the pet profile and choose Visit summary. Read the collected observations and records before printing or sharing. Missing entries should remain missing, and any mistaken entry should be corrected rather than explained away by the app.
